CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS by Camille Saint-Saens

2^nd graders composed their own animal rhythm (this will be coming home soon!) and learned a song “We’re Off to the Zoo.”  We connected this to the famous composer Camille Saint-Saens who wrote a piece of music to sound just like specific animals.  Students saw a puppet show accompanied by his music.  While the puppet show is only available on DVD (link below), the music can be found on youtube, itunes, or at your local library.
