A DAY AT HOME WITH ANTHONY
      by Anthony D.

One day I was fishing. I was throwing big black rocks into the lake and I fell in. When I fell in I swallowed a big splash of water. The next day I got very sick. My mom took me to the doctor. The doctor said he did not know what was the matter with me. On the way home I was crying salty tears. My mom got fed up and gave me her lipstick to play with. When she looked back I was covered with brown lipstick. It did not stop me from crying. My mom did not know what to do after that.

      MY PUPPY PEARL
      by Amanda Z.

Last summer I got a new puppy. She is a Toy Fox Terrier and her name is Pearl. She is named Pearl because she was born on Pearl Harbor Day. Pearl Harbor Day is on December 7th. My puppy is white and has a big black spot on her left shoulder. Her head is black and she has a small brown spot by each eye. She has brown and white on each side of her snout.

Toy Fox Terriers have short hair and shed very little. They also have short tails. Toy Fox Terriers are small dogs. My dog weighs about 9 pounds. My puppy can run very fast. She likes to play fetch and tug-of-war with her toy. My puppy loves to cuddle with me, and she sleeps with me every night. I take very good care of my puppy. I give her fresh water and feed her. I also take her for walks when the weather is warm. When it is cold outside, my puppy wears a sweater.

I am so happy my parents let me get a puppy. I love my puppy and think that she is so cute. I think that Toy Fox Terriers make very good pets. They like children, and they are smart dogs.

      INTERVIEW WITH MISS SCHASCHWARY
      by Brianna E.

Last week I had the opportunity to speak with Miss Schaschwary,
one of our kindergarten teachers, and I asked her a few questions I had
      prepared.
Most of us know Miss Schaschwary’s favorite animal is a dog. I asked her what her next favorite animal would be. She said that it would be an otter. I also asked her what her favorite movie was this year, and of all time. Her favorite movie this year was “Shrek”, and her favorite movie of all time is “It’s A Wonderful Life”. She has no special musical group or music she enjoys, she likes it all! Miss Schaschwary’s favorite male movie star is Mel Gibson. Her favorite female star is Julia Roberts. Miss Schaschwary’s funniest memory of second grade are the silly recesses they used to have. She has two brothers and no sisters. Her birthday is June 20th, and don’t you forget it!
