Sample Videos
- You will need an internet connection, a microphone, and a quiet room to start this project.
(If you are using a laptop, it may have a built-in microphone). - GOOGLE -> Images -> your chosen/assigned ancient person.
- Choose a statue/painting of the person’s head -> copy and paste to a word document.
- Insert a textbox with the person’s NAME & DATES at the bottom of the picture -> format picture to the back -> GROUP picture and textbox.
- Copy and Paste Picture to “PAINT” and save as a JPEG to “My Pictures”.
- Google -> web -> your ancient person QUOTES. (example: “Hammurabi Quotes”).
- Chose a quote -> copy and paste quote to a word document -> save -> print -> practice saying your quote (it will only be 5-20 seconds long).
- Go to www.blabberize.com and open a new account (“roomXXX” and your first and last initial).
(XXX = Our Room Number) Password could be your school password so that you can remember it!
(DO NOT USE YOUR EMAIL PASSWORD!)
- Pick an image -> Crop Image -> Place Mouth -> ADJUST THE SIZE & SHAPE OF MOUTH
- Pick a sound -> Microphone
- Click the record button and record your quote.
Click the Start button to Stop recording and hear your recording! - YOU CAN GO BACK and RE-RECORD or RE-ADJUST YOUR MOVING MOUTH!
- CLICK “OK” WHEN YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR RESULTS.
- SAVE -> Log In again -> TITLE -> your person ->
DESCRIPTION “Ancient Blabberize (Your person)” -> TAGS -> Your Person -> SAVE - Click on “I want this Video” -> Click on “Yes, convert now!” -> “Click here to download” ->
SAVE TO YOUR THUMB DRIVE AND BRING TO SCHOOL. - We’ll Combine your Video with other Ancient Blabberize Videos to make one video for the entire class.
- You can also “SHARE” Your Video by sending the URL to your teacher and others!
Hammurabi - Use one of the quotes on page 73 of our textbook or GOOGLE -> web -> “Hammurabi quotes”.
Remember to put a textbox with the person’s name AND DATES at the bottom of the picture!
YOU CAN GET THE DATES FROM PAGES R26-R35 IN THE BACK OF OUR TEXTBOOK or from an internet encyclopedia!
