Peacock Middle School

Classroom Rules:

1. Follow directions the first time that they are given.

2. Raise your hand for permission to talk before speaking or leaving your seat.

3. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

4. There will be no name-calling, profanity, swearing, teasing, or fighting.

5. Be seated in the classroom before the bell rings with necessary books, notebook, paper, pens, and completed homework.

Teacher Academic Periods (TAPs) will be scheduled before or after school, and parents will be notified. TAPs are not consequences, but rather "help sessions" so that tests, quizzes, performance assessments, or daily assignments can be completed due to absences or learning needs.

Consequences for Not Following the Classroom Rules:
1st-- Warning
2nd-- Warning
3rd and all other times thereafter: Behavior Adjustment Time (BAT), 30 minutes after school and parent contact. There could be principal/office contact, as well.

Rewards:
Homework passes; positive notes and or calls; no homework given over certain weekends; extra computer time
