Achievement Guidelines
An effective learning environment requires a cooperative community in which students are held to a consistent standard of behavior. When in any Encore class, students will be held accountable for the following guidelines:
Students will:
1. Demonstrate respect for the instructor, other students, safety rules and equipment.
2. Be on time.
3. Submit work by due date for full credit.
4. Keep food, drink, gum and candy outside of class.
5. Keep all property and equipment in designated areas.
6. Bring required materials.
By not following the above guidelines, students undermine both their ability to succeed and the school community as a whole. With this in mind, students choosing to break a guideline will earn the following consequences:
Step 1. Verbal warning.
Step 2. Written warning requiring parent signature.
Step 3. "Take-Home" Behavior Adjustment Time (BAT) requiring parent signature.
Step 4. BAT with direct parent contact.
Step 5. Administrative Action.
