Although a NDSEC employee, I am assigned to District #10 full-time and serve all three schools. My primary responsibility is serving special education students. I prepare the social developmental study for comprehensive case study evaluations and all re- evaluations for current special education students, which occur every three years in accordance with Illinois law.

I provide individual and group school-related counseling to special education students, working toward goals stated in their individual educational plans (IEPs). I provide consultation to teaching staff in regard to special and regular education students to optimize their functioning within the classroom and school setting.

I do accept referrals of students in regular education, if they are experiencing difficulty in their social relationships in school or problems outside of school which are impacting their functioning in school. These students are served with parent permission or by parent request on a short-term basis.
